Background

I hold an MFA in Creative Writing and have taught literature and writing at the university level. My fiction and essays have earned national recognition, including The Florida Review Editor's Award, notable listing in Best American Essays, a Special Mention in the Pushcart Prize, fellowships from Yaddo and the MacDowell Colony, and finalist recognition from Creative Capital.

I have completed a full-length memoir now in final development with literary representation. My recent work integrates long-form narrative design with oral and archival research. I bring that same rigor and attentiveness to each manuscript I read.
